The Keystone Hotel was built in 1901 out of Rhyolite. It sits on the corner of 4th and Wilcox Streets in Castle Rock, and is now the home of the Castle Cafe. Douglas County History Research Center #96053

* Louviers explosives factory started by DuPont, town of Louviers is built to support the factory. (Fearnow p.2)
* Quarry business declines dramatically around Castle Rock due to the increased use of concrete and lack of demand because of the panic of 1893.
