[1965 flood damage to Castle Rock area]
1965
View from Castle Rock (rock formation) looking north at Interstate 25, Highway 85, the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad tracks, Front Street, and the highly flooded East Plum Creek drainage. There are cars on the interstate, which is one lane in each direction. Two retaining pools in the center of the photo are for wastewater treatment. The damage occurred as the result of the June 1965 flood of East Plum Creek.
