Side view of the Whittier House on 4th and Perry Streets in Castle Rock,
Colorado. Picket fence with gate and corner post stands in front of one
story, side gabled house with chimney, two double hung windows in the front
and a screen door with transom in the center. On the side of the house are
two windows, and a lean-to addition with a door, lattice work and a chimney.
The building is made of wood with gingerbread shingles in the gable. A pitched
roof outbuilding (unpainted) stands at the back of the house. Pictured are(from
left): Clarence Whittier, Sarah Whittier, Clara Whittier Waldron, and Washington
Irving (W.I.) Whittier. Castle Rock is visible in the background.
