Arrangement of the Collection
Arranged alphabetically by subject, chronologically within subjects.Scope and Content
Attendance records for the Larkspur Elementary School include statistics of the number of student hours in the classroom. They document the growth of the school over 20 years. The school handbook, programs from school events, and parent newsletters also document the way the school operated. The histories contained in the collection can provide narrative information about Douglas County History. Two subjects of photos in the collection - Jack and William Kulhavy at the Willow Creek Ranch (1910-1920) and photos of older buildings around Perry Park (1991).
Biography / History
The records in the collection document attendance at the Larkspur Elementary School between 1968 and 1988. The school programs date from 1972-1989.
Jack and William Kulhavy worked at the Willow Creek Ranch between 1910 and 1920. The photos of the buildings in Perry Park are from the 1990's.
Many items appear to have come from Betty Prince. Ms. Prince signed the attendance records, and is mentioned in correspondence in the visual materials collection.
