Collection contains a photocopy of the parish register for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Littleton, Colorado from 1872-1906, and St. Philip in the Field Episcopal Church in Sedalia, Colorado from 1872-1906. The records in the register detail the church's official acts, including confrimations, baptisms, marriages, and burials.


Biography / History

St. Philip in the Field Episcopal Church was founded in 1872 by pioneers who had settled in the West Plum Creek area of Douglas County. Among those involved in the founding of the church include Upton Treat Smith, Newton S. Grout, Leonard Wells, and Marcus L. James. During the time period of the register, the ministers of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Littleton, Colorado were serving at St. Philip in the Field Church as well.
