Abstract:This collection consists of materials related to the Parker, Colorado, Centennial Celebration on June 20-21, 1964. Events included a gymkhana, baseball games, a street dance, barbeque, parade and carnival. There was a dedication ceremony which included laying the cornerstone for the new gateway to the J.S. Parker Cemetery. Members of the Veteran Car Club of Denver, in their antique automobiles, followed the stagecoach route from Denver to Parker to take part in the parade. All parade participants received a ribbon.

Scope and Content

This collection consists of materials related to the Parker, Colorado, Centennial Celebration on June 20-21, 1964. This collection was assembled by Douglas County Libraries after a ribbon was found when moving the Parker Library to a new location in 1995.
