Abstract:This collection was compiled from the O'Brien family's personal photo albums and memorabilia. The family lived in Parker, Colorado, since the early 1900s. Charles O'Brien operated a hardware store, liquor store, and real estate office in the old Rhode Island Hotel in Parker, Colorado. Photographs depict Parker, Colorado, and Castle Rock, Colorado, during a blizzard in December 1913; members of the Parker Women's Study Club; vehicles and drivers for the Parker-Denver Truck Line; the Parker Library on Mainstreet; Charles O'Brien; store fronts along Mainstreet in Parker, Colorado; Parker Centennial Celebration in 1964; Ave Maria Catholic Church in Parker, Colorado; and the lumber yard in Parker, Colorado. The collection also containes a Douglas County Public Library Card issued to Charles H. O'Brien.
