Scope and Content

Collection documents the history of the Smoky Hill Trail Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution. Items in the collection include minutes, directories (yearbooks), scrapbooks of the group's activities, newsletters and a minimal selection of files based on projects the group participated in.


Biography / History

The Smoky Hill Trail Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution was formed in 1979. The group has participated in a number of projects throughout the south Denver Metro Area, including indexing the Douglas County Marriage Records, dedicating a marker for the Smoky Hill Trail, publishing a 20th anniversary cookbook and a commemorative World War II book. Average membership is around 20 women.
