Abstract:Colorado Open Lands is a land preservation organization whose mission statement reads: "to develop and implement effective techniques that leverage the resources of both public and private sectors to preserve significant open lands in Colorado." Pine Cliff Ranch in Douglas County was donated as open space to Colorado Open Lands (COL).

Scope and Content

The collection contains newsletters and brochures from Colorado Open Lands and Colorado Open Lands proposal for the Allis Ranch Preserve.


Biography / History

In 1992, COL purchased the 140 acre Ziegler Ranch, which adjoins Pine Cliff Ranch. The Allis Ranch Preserve is 831 acres adjoining the Pine Cliff and Ziefler Ranches.
