Biography / History

The Douglas County League of Women Voters was provisionally established in 1977. Sonya Blackstock was the first president. In 1978-1979, the league participated in State Land Use and Water Sudies, and held a forum on Water issues in Douglas County. Between 1988 and 1993 the League undertook a study of water issues in Douglas County which led to involvement in the Douglas County Master Plan.
