Collection Description |
The 1937 Douglas County Aerial Photograph Collection contains 184 prints covering eastern and central Douglas County, Colorado. These photoprints were produced by the Agricultural Adjustment Administration, Western Division Laboratory. The Agricultural Adjustment Administration was the predecessor of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Soil Conservation Service. The aerial photoprints were taken to document the land use of agricultural land following the Dust Bowl era and the advent of farming and soil conservation programs by the USDA. |
